Marianne’s First Blog!

Sunday in October! I just love this time of year. It is so great to have the windows open, I weary of canned air. Coffee and the front porch. Maybe a boat ride. Those are my goals for the day. My dear “sister-in-law” that I kept in the divorce asked me, “When do have time to clean/take care of your house?” I just laughed. I guess I could be doing that now but frankly the front porch is looking a lot better than the mop. Just sayin’.

I have so many things to say but lets start with a thank you to my very own “Lilbit” aka Lindsay.¬† Lindsay took the reins a few weeks back when I was attacked by those nasty shingles. I was completely down for a whole week. Lilbit just made things go. Pretty awesome, huh?

Lindsay is also interning at the shop this semester.  She is performing admirably in spite of her crazy master. She has been teaching classes and private lessons too!

So, I am trying to get the hang of this blogging thing! Everything just moves around a lot. Hope I am not making a mess (I can hear you laughing) but if I do, please forgive me.

I guess I can’t say enough about the New Leaf Farm Tour this year. Caney Branch Farm will be up and running and we are just so tickled to have a part in it! Yarn Therapy will be there with bells on! We will close the shop at 3:00pm on Saturday, October 20th so that Lilbit can come out to play! I hope you can make it too! It should be a lot of fun and they have worked SO HARD!

Maureen’s Sampler

Isn’t this just lovely? A quick colorwork swatch using all four of the new yarns from Caney Branch Farm Yarns that just arrived! WOW! This yarn is in limited supply so come get yours at the farm tour!

On a couple of personal notes, my BFF, Vinia, came to visit a couple of weeks ago. Lots of you had the pleasure of meeting her at the shop. She finally caught the bug and Lilbit put two sticks in her hands and it was all over but the cryin’!!!

Vinia & Lindsay!

So cute! I miss her bunches, she is so much fun!

Second personal note: LINDSAY TURNS 21! Clear the streets! We had a great time celebrating and all her knitting buddies showed up to toast! Margaritas abound!

The Gang’s All Here!

Thanks to all of you, we are building a little shop that I can’t wait to get to every day!

Happy Sunday to you all!
